Beliau menyertai PSM pada 2009 dan telah menubuhkan cawangan Bayan Baru, cawangan pertama PSM di Pulau Pinang bersama dengan aktivis tempatan yang lain. Buat masa kini, Sook Hwa aktif di Kuala Lumpur.
